Lenten diet

I've been wanting to diet anyway, so it was very timely when I found out from my boys that Ash Wednesday was approaching.
I decided to give up meat, Coke, chocolate and ice cream for the duration of Lent.
That may seem hard, but there are other things I consider harder to give up, such as rice, computer and shopping.
Gossiping is even harder to give up as it never stops (sorry).
Jeroen has given up coffee, which I know is really hard for him, being a habitual morning drinker.
Jay has given up shopping. And my sister's entire family apparently gave up rice.
As of Ash Wednesday I have already dropped 1.5 lbs.
If I can keep this up until Easter Sunday, who knows how much I can lose?
My goal is at least 10 lbs.
I have seen how giving up meat results in dramatic weight loss, such as with my Tito Ronny, and uh, Raya Mananquil, who is totally vegetarian.

As for giving up sweets, I saw the change in Maxene Magalona.

That said, my current food of choice is usually home cooked fish or Japanese.
I even have this book, Japanese Women Don't Get Old Or Fat.

This Lent, you can still enjoy food on Fridays with Pepper Lunch's non-meat offerings such as Salmon Teriyaki, Kani Salad, and Lychee Cooler (my favorites).

Pepper Lunch Lenten Specials

Finish it off with our new Japanese Tiramisu or Molten Chocolate Cake, if it's allowed.
