Formed in San Diego, California, STP consists of Scott Weiland (lead vocals), brothers Robert DeLeo (bass guitar, vocals) and Dean DeLeo (guitar), and Eric Kretz (drums, percussion).
The band found immediate success in 1992 when they released their debut album Core, which was certified platinum eight times by the Recording Industry Association of America.
