Google brought me to Tina Tagle's blog last week and since then, my friends and I have been hooked!
I swear it's the only blog I'm currently following besides my own, and now I have to check several times if she has updated.
I love this dress: Tina Tagle in Chanel, can pass for an older sister of Mandy Santos
When I first discovered it, I ended up sleeping very late, going through all her entries.
Just like me, Tina started blogging at 2000 when blogging was new.
Back then blogs were very personal online diaries.
Then things change when your blog becomes popular and you realize you can't put all your thoughts out there anymore.
From an online diary, Tina's blog has evolved into a personal blog and style diary.
In the beginning, I was surprised to see an older person do what looked like a style blog.
Because of her fashion choices, Tina has had to fight off loads of haters. But I chose to focus on her day-to-day stories—about her household, her kids, her trials—which I found both endearing and entertaining.
Tina is not your ordinary Filipino housewife. She lives in Dasma (walking distance from Gretchen Barretto's house), she has three gorgeous children who attend the British school and hang out at the Polo Club. And yet she writes in the most candid, hilarious tone.
Read about The Social Climber
The Agnostic
and Jo Malone.
My friends and I were so intrigued, we invited her to Keri's birthday lunch at People's Palace.
I was so starstruck to be able to sit down with this hilarious woman, who entertained us with "chismis ng mayaman," as I whispered to Grace.
You can read about our lunch here. We're already looking forward to our next meeting.
The Bag Brigade: Jay, Tina (with my mutated Mihara Birkin), Keri and Grace
Read Tina's blog with an open mind, and make sure you have time, as it is strangely addicting!
