Rare works by Arturo Luz, Fernando Zobel, Fernando Amorsolo, Betsy Westendorp, Neal Oshima, plus 90+ artists will be made available at the Asian Cultural Council Art Auction on Saturday, February 5, 2011 4pm at Finale Art File on Pasong Tamo, Makati.
Previews will be on February 3 and 4.
The Asian Cultural Council aims to raise at least PHP 5 million this year for our Filipino artists, by providing grants to study and be exposed to other artists in Asia and in the United States.
Some noted ACCP grantees include Lucrecia Kasilag and Jose Maceda (both National Artists for Music); filmmaker Tikoy Aguiluz; Jose Joya (CCP Gawad Awardee and National Artist for Visual Arts) and Alice Reyes (founder of Ballet Philippines).
The ACC fellowship program has supported over 600 Asian and American artist scholars since its inception.
