Jean Paul Hevin

My dad loves chocolate, but not just any kind of chocolate. While I'm happy to have Hershey or Royce', you can't buy him chocolate from the supermarket or Duty Free Shop.
The chocolate must have an expiration date (like one week) and must have a name I can't pronounce. At least these are my impressions.
In Hong Kong I had 15 minutes to kill before meeting a friend at Chanel. I passed by a small chocolate store at Harbour City called Jean Paul Hevin. Ooh, designer chocolate.
(Ang swerte naman ng asawa/anak nito.)

I didn't know what to choose so I bought my dad a selection in a box of 25 pieces. I just asked them to fill it up as I'm personally just a boring milk chocolate person—no nuts, no fillings.

The macarons looked so good. I bet it tastes better than Bizu, jeje.

The sucettes caught my eye. Milk chocolate in lollipop form. This costs HK$60/pop or PHP 330.
Oh well, I just had to have one.
(P.S. They are much cheaper in Europe, only 3.40 euros or PHP 203 pesos. Still mahalia but cheaper.)

It looks amazing. I went down to Chanel to wait for my friend and opened it.

I was prepared to be disappointed because I had high expectations. But as I bit into it, a small tear formed in the side of my eye. It tasted like very special chocolate with a bit of caramel taste and salt. It was fantastic.
I would've run back for one more lolly—just one please—but my friend and I had to be at a press event in 30 minutes.
And so the next Jean Paul Hevin encounter awaits...Ana let's gow!!
