I've been searching for solar-powered lights for our courtyard and roof deck but haven't found any in Manila.
Luckily, Ana and I walked into these at Ikea on Alexandra Road, Singapore.
The Solig solar-powered floor lamp comes in two colors and is packaged in a compact box. I bought two of these and had no problem packing them in my soft luggage.
Plus it's super easy to assemble. It me five minutes and voila!
Set them up at the courtyard for some afternoon sun.
Came back at night and turned them on. They give my courtyard a boutique hotel feel.
You can even read a book with it.
I'm convinced solar is the way to go and I'm going to search for more products.
The Solig lamp costs SGD99 in Singapore or about PHP 3,200, while in the US they cost only US$39.99 or about PHP 1,800! For more details, click here.
