My husband went on a Love Boat marathon yesterday during Typhoon Pedring. He loves the show as well as the theme song. I’ve found versions of it online I think he might enjoy (he is sleeping so he’ll see this in the morning) 
Do you remember the Spanish retokado singer during the early ’80s, Charo? She used to annoy me. She was everywhere and all the Bob Hope shows.
Now I can watch this and be slightly amused and remember my childhood.
French singer Amanda Lear sings a bedroom/draggy disco version of it that sounds really cool
Of course, nothing beats the original theme by Jack Jones.
