The first piece, which Ms. Salonga wore for her opening night on June 7th, was a full-length gown of punched silk in black, with a V-neckline and keyhole detail on the back. It was accented with a sash, beaded with hammered gold.
The second piece was a crimson crepe full length gown with a pin-tucked bodice and sleeves.
Tomas recently launched his winning T-shirt design at Bloomingdale’s last March, and will have his women’s collection available at selected boutiques in Manhattan for the Fall.
Lea Salonga will be performing nightly at the Café Carlyle from June 7 to 25, 2011.
