Last Saturday I accepted an award of 2nd runner up at the awarding of Easter Eggs at Newport City Mall.
Thanks to your votes, the Missionary Sisters of the Chatechism of Lipa will take home Php 50,000 from Megaworld and more.
Divine Lee won 1st runner up and Php 75,000 for Childhaus, while Tim Yap won Grand Prize and Php 150,000 for the Virlanie Foundation.
Divine Lee's kids touched my heart. Thought of these kids a lot these past two days.
Aside from the Php 50,000 prize from Megaworld, I also collected additional donations of Php 183,500 from friends and readers who wanted to help the nuns in Lipa. This brings the total to Php 233,500.
Php 33,500 will go to the tuition fee of nuns going to school this year, and Php 200,000 will go towards the building of a water pump for the home for the elderly in Marawoy, Lipa City.
