Japanese clothing giant Uniqlo has announced support for earthquake victims, particularly in Northeastern Taiheiyou and Miyagi, Iwate, Fukushima, Aomori, and Ibaraki prefectures.
A total of 14 billion yen has been pledged by Uniqlo employees worldwide, including a 10-billion yen private donation from Yanai Tadashi, Chairman, President and CEO of Uniqlo.
As relief supplies to affected areas, 300,000 items of clothing, including HEATTECH high-demand winter life, different kinds of underwear, outerwear, jeans and towels, or Uniqlo brand clothing worth 700 million yen will be donated.
In addition, donation boxes will be set up in UNIQLO stores worldwide.
Please help out when you see these boxes.
