Contrary to Internet rumors, Hello Kitty designer Yuko Yamaguchi did not die in the tsunami.
Besides the fact that her blog was updated today, I have confirmed this with Tita Virgie Ramos who called Mr. Tsuji of Sanrio.
Mr. Tsuji even said all Sanrio stores in Sendai, Japan were intact.

I can't tell you how relieved I am as Tita Virgie was just saying I have to meet her this year.
I pray that Japan recovers soon.
