O ayan ha, this is not a paid entry.
Just wanna say, this is the longest cold spell we've had since I can remember.
Before, we used to have a cold spell on Christmas Eve, then back to heat two days later.
Now it's already 25 January and I can still walk around the house wearing socks and sweater.
The downside is, everybody's getting sick.
On January 19, we had a meeting with some Japanese people re: a new project Jeroen and I are setting up.
Mr. Kimachi (R) was running a 40-degree fever. (I think he's OK now.)

I got hawa. That night my throat was on fire.
I didn't get fever, but from that time up to yesterday I was suffering in purgatory—sore throat, headache, backache, cold, the works.
Today, I'm not yet 100% but almost there, by God's mercy.
Here's what worked for me, without going to the doctor:
1) Orofar-L, the miracle gargle. I got the big bottle. Just gargle this three times a day or as needed when your throat is on fire.
By the time you finish the bottle, you should be well. Available at Mercury or Watson's.

2) Puffs tissues are heaven on your nose. Got mine from the U.S. c/o Cedric, but you can get them at S&R Price Club.
Best tissue ever.

3) Advil PM. Milder and kinder than Tylenol PM. I take them only when the headache's so bad, I can't sleep.
Got this from abroad though I can't remember what country.
Locally, Benadryl capsules work for me. I take those when the cold is so bad I can't sleep.

4) A lot of people swear by Pei Pa Koa's horribly thick syrup—it really works on your cough.
Available at Chinese drug and food stores in Greenhills and V-Mall.
Pei Pa Koa lozenges and candies are good too.

5) Speaking of Daniel Matsunaga, I almost forgot. I took Solmux for phlegm. Luckily we have these at home.
These also work: sleep, nebulizing, covering throat when it's cold.
That said, I'm about to fall into a nap. Tomorrow, I plan to be 100% OK.
P.S. I'm already scared for summer. Something's got to give.
It will be payback time. #climatechange
