After a much delayed concert date, John Mayer is finally coming to Manila to peform at the Mall of Asia concert grounds on October 1, 2010.

What do you miss most when you go on tour?
John Mayer: A great home-cooked meal, my family, I miss my bed the most.
Tell us something fans might not know about you personally—like a secret talent, or such.
JM: VACUUMING. I just love to see an array of dust and bits of paper...go from being there to disappearing with one stroke.
You collaborate extensively and often work with artists outside your own genre, even hip-hop. Not too many artists take this risk, yet you are very comfortable with it, why?
JM: It’s not music out there right now. That’s why, to me, hip-hop is where rock used to be.

Describe the perfect John Mayer gig.
JM: No favorites. I try to enjoy as much as I can no matter where I go. I do have one that tops my list though: A schmuck in a bear suit, performing next to Sheryl Crow.
What are you looking forward to most about being in the Philippines, other than your show?
JM: Looking forward to meeting the fans. I do everything for my fans. I have also heard from other artists who have been there how great of an audience the Filipinos are. I am definitely very excited. I have also heard there are great musicians out there, beautiful women and nice beaches.”
Will you be unveiling new material?
JM: You’ll have to watch the show and find out on your own. I’ll see you all soon!
