The new Barbara

Remember Barbara, the hairy lady spotted at the MRT, malls, schools and even a concert?







Last March, Veet challenged you to stalk Barbara with a camera, post them on this site and win cool prizes.
Recently, Veet also challenged Barbara to use their hair removal products for a fabulous makeover.



They offered Veet hair removal products in wax strips and creams.
Personally I'm a big fan of the wax strips which are available in two sizes—for face and body. Find them at drug stores and supermarkets.



Wearing a pink debutante dress, Barbara was presented to the press and contest winners at an exclusive pool party at Aquasphere, in Malate, Manila.
Barbara said she was surprised when people started following her online, at malls and other public places.



"May catch and shoot order pala ako. My friends kept urging me to finally meet VEET and become a modern woman. I kept telling them nothing is wrong with me. I shave regularly. I just don't know why my hair keeps getting thicker. Sometimes, may nicks and cuts or ingrown hair. It's a painful process," Barbara said at the reveal party.



After her encounter with Veet, Barbara can't be happier with her transformation.
"I'm so happy. No more hair! What was I thinking? All the attention on the old Barbara was about the old dresses and the hair. Now the attention is on me, dahil mas maganda na ako. Veet has helped me discover my beauty," she said.
