I purposely avoided entering luxury stores this last trip because you know I have this patient back home.
Every time I'd see a bag I would think, "That's June's treatment."
I visited him yesterday. While I was in Singapore they aspirated 210 ml. of fluid from his stomach.
According to his caregivers, his stomach is smaller and feels softer now. His cheeks have rounded and his thighs are filling up slowly.I think the pneumonia has cleared up, so that's half the battle. Thank you for praying for him!. (EDIT: I just saw Dr. Joseph earlier. Malignancy has not been ruled out, so please pray for June.)
Of course I still have to shop. I discovered the joy of Uniqlo, particularly the lounge wear. We love the price points!
Visited two Uniqlo stores in Singapore—at the basement of Ion Orchard, and at 313 Somerset.
I love Uniqlo's drawstring/elastic pants and softest T-shirts. Uniqlo is one of those brands we need in Manila, as well as Ikea. The day we have those, consider us no longer third world.
Do your kids love lounging on the floor? Mine do, and our house gets packed with kids especially during summer.
Found this cool thing at Ikea called Komisk. Packaged like a bed sheet, it opens up to an extra long throw pillow with three partitions.
Bought two of these (cause two is my favorite number for shopping). Then back home I bought three extra large (27") throw pillows at SM department store at PHP 199 each.
Insert the pillows, and voila—extra higaan, upuan, bahay-bahayan at iba pa.
As usual I don't remember how much I paid in Singapore, but on the US site it's only US$10.
