HONG KONG—When I first laid eyes on these pendant lamps at I.T at Silvercord Plaza, I fell in love.

Didn't know what they were or where to get, but I just had to have them. After intense Googling (one of my favorite past times), I found out they were Jake Phipps's Jeeves and Wooster lamps. (Jake Phipps is not bad looking ha.)

"Named after the iconic PG Wodehouse characters, Jake Phipps created the Jeeves and Wooster lamps, based on the ‘bowler’ and ‘top’ hats they wore.
The ‘bowler’ is worn by the working man, while the ‘top’ is sported by the gentleman of leisure."

"In the 20th century, the bowler hat became an internationally recognized symbol of ‘Britishness’, claiming its place in popular culture as the headwear of choice for John Steed in swinging 1960’s TV show ‘The Avengers’.
Jeeves is a pendant light combining a genuine handmade wool felt bowler hat and an energy saving G9 bulb, reinforced by anodized aluminium lining in a gold finish. Wooster is a pendant light combining a genuine handmade wool top hat and an energy saving G9 bulb, reinforced by anodized aluminium lining in a gold finish." (Source)

I dragged the above image in my wishlist folder and made a mental note to find them in Hong Kong next time.
So when I had an excuse to visit, I emailed the Innermost showroom which stocks the lamps in Asia.
On my third day in Hong Kong, I took a cab to Hollywood Road in Sheung Wan and picked up the lamps from Edward who had answered my email.
I just knew that four was the magic number. Edward helped me find a cab to get back to the hotel.

But how to take them home?
Luckily I have a friend in Hong Kong who knows how.
Nora recommended Amazing Speed, a Filipino door-to-door shipper based on the 3rd level of World Wide Plaza in Central.
I went there, picked up a box, filled up some paperwork and paid HK$605 for a ginormous box.
Took the box to the hotel where Cedric gladly helped me fill it up.

Here's the 411 on Amazing Speed. If you're going to World Wide Plaza, look for Tim on the 3rd floor and tell him Nora Perez referred you.
Or call/email in advance to find out if they can deliver the empty box to where you're staying so you don't have to go there.
The following day Amazing Speed picked up the sealed box from our hotel, and we are expecting to have it in 10-14 days.
