Tried and tested: Cookie Bar's cookie shot glasses

I’m not fond of queueing unless it’s absolutely necessary. That’s why I didn’t bother going to Dominique Ansel the last time I was in New York. But now I really want to go, after seeing his creations on Instagram, for example:

Vanilla ice cream waffle with Belgium waffle bits, lightly salted, and topped with maple-syrup espresso poured on top.

As the ice cream melts, little tapioca pearls are revealed and float in the melted ice cream espresso sauce

Or Coco Mango Riz Au Lait: fresh ripe mango slices, mango pearls, and coconut rice pudding with microbasil

But what really kills me are pictures of the Cookie Shots. Imagine a shot glass made of chocolate chip cookie and lined with chocolate, with milk poured inside

This one I would line up for

But since a New York trip is still far away, I couldn’t help but order the local version, which is conveniently located in Kapitolyo, Pasig.

The verdict? Not bad. It tastes exactly like it looks. I was not disappointed.

I had one for breakfast on the first day and another on the second day.

On the third day, however, I couldn’t finish it anymore. So I got over it, but the kids at home loved it and so did their cousins.

A box of eight costs Php 320. You can order online through this site.

If you don’t mind paying Php 100 for home delivery, I suggest you order online, because the actual kitchen/bakery is not very pretty. But if that doesn’t bother you or you can send someone to pick up your order, then go ahead to Kapitolyo.
