At London Fashion Week, Bally kicked off a yearlong celebration to mark the 60th anniversary of the first two individuals known to have reached the summit of Mount Everest.
On May 29, 1953, Tenzing Norgay, the Nepalese Indian Sherpa mountaineer, climbed the top of Mt. Everest along with New Zealand bee-keeper and mountaineer, Sir Edmund Hillary.
Tenzing made that journey in a pair of Bally Reindeer-Himalaya boots, forever linking the Swiss brand to this momentous achievement.
At London Fashion Week, Bally set up a makeshift tent, showcasing items from the original Everest expeditions, including an official replica of the boots worn by Tenzing housed in the Bally archive.
Guests enjoyed a simple fare of cheese, toast, or brownies with either scotch or milk, while viewing items from Bally’s archives and its Everest capsule collection.
In the Philippines, Bally is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists Inc. (SSI) and is located at Greenbelt 5, Rustan’s Makati, Shangri-La Plaza Mall, and Newport Mall Resorts World.
