American retail giant, Aéropostale, opens its flagship store this May 2013 at the ground floor of the new Glorietta in Makati.
Named after a 1920s airmail company, the mall-based brand opened its first store in 1987, offering high-quality, fashionable wardrobe staples for teens. Today, Aéropostale is one of the fastest growing retailers of casual apparel and accessories with a price range that’s easy on the pocket.
Just to give you an idea and feel of the brand, last October 2012, Aéropostale opened a new concept store at the Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City, Long Island, New York.
The new and impressive store concept evokes a vintage feel with New York-inspired artwork and framed chalkboards that double as a Community board to keep customers in the loop with the many activities Aéropostale has lined up for the year.
Vibrant colored fixtures paired with dark wood, exposed bricks, and state-of-the-art lighting provide contrast and dimension, to give the store a warm and inviting feel.
While tucked in the back of the store is a fun and flirty Girls room or haven for underwear, yoga and dorm items
Each of the store’s five dressing rooms features a New York City neighborhood theme like Soho, Williamsburg, West Village, East Village, and Park Slope.
The store design is a collaboration between Aéropostale’s internal team and the award-winning, Montreal-based design and consulting firm, GH+A Design.
With its heritage and New York roots, Aéropostale is sure to be the next fashion hot spot in the Metro.
