The one that got away

The Comme des Garçons flagship in Aoyama is a must-stop whenever I'm in Tokyo.
The iconic building, designed by CDG founder Rei Kawakubo in collaboration with architect Takao Kawasaki can be easily spotted by its circular polka-dotted windows.



Last time I was there in April, Sayoko and Jeroen were with me, so I was shy to try anything on.
Jeroen has no patience for shopping, so I grabbed something I didn't need to try on—a black leather bowling bag with three compartments, it can actually carry a little puppy.
The following day I felt like using it already. At the hotel room I discovered that one of its zippers was damaged.
From Ginza, we took a cab back to Aoyoma to return it. The sales assistant said it was their last piece but would try to locate another one for me. I should come back the following day.
So I did. When I got there I was told that all the bags were all pulled out due to a factory defect. Ngek. He gave me a full refund in cash and a Comme des Garçons candle as a peace offering.

Now my friend Don Protasio just came from Bangkok and sent me photos of the new Comme des Garçons store there.



Somebody recenty tweeted me: "Ms. C! Now that Forever 21 is here, bakit ka pa mag-a-abroad?"
To which I replied: "Duh! Comme des Garçons!"



I almost had these shoes for my birthday...They didn't fit.
