Kusama Day

I can’t even remember the last time I bought a Louis Vuitton bag or wanted one. The prices just keep going higher. The stuff wasn’t exciting. The last thing I got was a wallet. I still think Louis Vuitton makes the best wallets.
Now this Kusama thing I was into. When I first saw the lookbook I was kind of disappointed because I found the styling so kenkoy. Nevertheless I was still interested in Vuitton’s latest collab with Japanese pop artist Yayoi Kusama.

I was lucky to be invited to be among the first to see the collection at Greenbelt 4. I came in around 11:30 and found the VIP room so wonderfully arranged.

I was kind of embarrassed. The food looked too pretty to eat.

I took two of the salmon sandwiches and ate them quickly as I had some business to do.
I took the red polka-dotted Vernis Lockit bag and tried it on

I even compared the Louis Vuitton wallet to my Comme des Garçons wallet (LV wins!)

I left and had lunch with my girlfriends at People’s Palace. Then I texted my benefactor who gave me the go signal.
I went back to the store and made a decision: this one.

I chose it because of its size and weight (not as heavy as vernis). It has an optional shoulder strap.
I transferred my things and used it right away.
I kind of feel so guilty having it, just like the food they served me. I’m not worthy.
I thought about some people who regretted not getting a Sprouse bag from the first collection or a Richard Prince when it was available. Yayoi Kusama is 89 years old. I don’t think I’ll be able to afford her art ever, but I have this bag and it’s here and it’s mine.
