I’ve been a hermit so long, I decided to leave the house yesterday to go shopping.
Went all the way to E. Rodriguez in Quezon City in search of my chair crush for the studio apartment I’ve been working on with Kellyn See and Rex Gapuz.
The Peninsula chair was created especially for the Peninsula Hong Kong’s iconic Felix restaurant.
It comes in three models: plain white, plain black, and another one with a portrait of Philippe Starck—of course I had to have that one. I keep looking at it online wondering how to buy one.
Then I remembered Kuysen Enterprises distributes the XO line of furniture here, so I took a chance and drove all the way to QC.
Lo and behold, the man who showed me around knew exactly what I was talking about–they had two chairs in stock.
I bought one at first and will decide if I need another one once the apartment is done. It looks really lovely at home. Can’t wait to finish the apartment.
I also spotted a pair of side tables earlier at Dimensione and had them reserved. They are four pieces left and the last two are reserved by a local celebrity. I hope I can take these home next week.
