‘Twas a sad day when Pepato closed its doors at Greenbelt 2, but while waiting for the new Pepato to reopen at Rockwell before Christmas, you can still enjoy your favorite dishes at Pepato Pop-up, The Commissary at Whitespace.
Last Saturday I had lunch there with Grace, Nikki and Jay, and last Sunday I had dinner there again with my family. Because there was an event downstairs, Saturday lunch was set up in the boardroom on the 2nd floor upstairs.
We had our own waiter
and table for four
Started with a risotto appetizer
and bread selection
Then we all had our favorite dishes ordered a day in advance via email. Grace and I had the roasted bone marrow
Nikki had her vegetarian dishes. And Jay had the Dry Semolina Spaghettini Pepato Flambé
I had the Chilean Sea Bass “La Sorpresa”
et voila
Jay and I also had the Roast US Angus Beef Tenderloin—YUM! I wanna go back already!!
Carbonara Deconstruct
We ended with free dessert—a chocolate pudding with gold splatter
P.S. I highly recommend the melon sorbet—the best thing on earth. I wasn’t able to take a picture—it was that good! I’m gonna come back with Jeroen soon.
Quick pic with the cooking diva, Margarita Forés, from L-R: Grace, Jay and Nikki.
